Topic: NCCC male youth participants will visit the Roanoke City Court & Jail with guest facilitator Sgt. Tim Allen of the Roanoke City Sheriff's department.

HEAL Support Group Meeting
Date: Tuesday, August 12th
Topic: Turning Your Pain into Purpose
Location: NCCC Media Room
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

NCCC Back to School Supply Give Away
Date: August 18th - September 1st
Topic: (NCCC will not be hosting a back pack drive for the 2008-2009 school year but will have free school supplies available for youth participants and others in need). Give aways are on a first come first serve basis.

Topic: NCCC "Rap" Session with former NCCC participant,
Private Andre' Hardy, who will speak to our youth on having a vision for the future and pursuing their dreams.

Topic: Turning Your Pain into Purpose.

Topic: Cyberworld Hazards (Harmful Internet Affects on our Youth & Society). Discussion Areas: My Space, Sex Predators, Cyber Bullies, etc. Guest Facilitator: Detective Moore of the Roanoke City Police Department (Internet Crimes against children division) .
Location: NCCC Media Room
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Ages: 12-17 (Middle School and High School)

October

Ark of Life Parent's Followup Workshop
Date: Friday, October 17th
Topic: Cyberworld Hazards (Harmful Internet Affects on our Youth & Society). This is a similar workshop offered for our youth, but geared for their parents.
